Sunday 18th August 2019 – Start of term
This is a 25 minute edit of our All-Age Sunday Communion on 18th August 2019. Today was our ‘Start of Term’ when many of our young people are back to school and others are preparing to set off to college or university. Our theme was ‘new beginnings’ and we looked at the story from Luke 19 about Zacchaeus – the despised tax-collector who famously climbed a tree to see Jesus.

Today we hear the story in  Acts 16.9-15 – God uses a vision to call Paul and his companions into Macedonia, a new place for them, but one where the ground has already been prepared for their missionary work. Sunday 19th May 2019 – Easter 5

This is a 25 minute edit of our Sunday Communion on 19th May 2019
 – Easter 5. Today we hear the story in Acts 11.1-18 when Peter tells the church in Jerusalem that the Holy Spirit has been poured out on Gentiles in Caesarea, as it was on Jews in Jerusalem at Pentecost. Judith Stevenson’s Reflection is entitled ‘The Yuck Factor’!

Whilst the music group sang Joni’s Circle Game, everyone was invited to draw a ‘Lifeline’ on the wall murals. There’s lots of music in the podcast today. This is a 25 minute edit of our Sunday Communion on 10th February 2019 – the 5th Sunday after Epiphany. Today we hear Isaiah’s great vision of being called to be a prophet, and also Luke’s story about the calling of the disciples (involving a miraculous catch of fish). We begin with a new poem by Richard Medrington. What does it mean to have a vocational ‘calling’? Is it for the chosen few or for all of us?
