Like almost any church, our worship, work and mission depends on a community of dedicated individuals working together. Some work full time and receive a stipend, such as our Rector; others are part time; most are volunteers. Practical and financial matters are overseen by an elected committee called the Vestry, and who are trustees within the charity law in Scotland.
St James Scottish Episcopal Church, 11a Johns Place, Leith, Edinburgh, EH6 7EL
Our hall lies off the main road so it can feel a like it’s a little tricky to find us. As you stand at the junction between John’s Place and Duncan Place, with the Links on your right, there’s a small path to the left with a notice board beside it. Go up the path and the building is to the right (at the end of the hedge).
As a Christian community, we seek to promote justice and to meet the needs of those who experience poverty and deprivation. One way we do this is by working in partnership with other local and international charities and giving 10% of all our income to support their work.
We depend on the giving of individuals to support this, and we warmly welcome any contributions.
